WHAT WE DOChampions in Action connects the disadvantaged youth of Guatemala to mentors through premier sports camps. Youth, ages 12 to 18, are given the opportunity to attend a week-long sports camp where three things are accomplished:
First, they are trained by professional athletes in the skill of soccer and compete in games to strengthen their skills.
Second, they are joined with a life-long Guatemalan mentor who will maintain contact on a regular basis.
Third, through the testimonies of highly-regarded professional athletes they hear of the transforming power of the Gospel message. |
